Our new menus have arrived!

You didn't have to wait long; our brand new menus for 2012 have arrived!

The biggest change is the introduction of our  Hot Buffet Menu.  Packed with 12 brand new dishes, we've created a menu and recipes that includes favourites such as the Lancashire Hotpot, Beef Straganoff and rich a Lasange, as well as a Thai Vegetable Curry that is full of flavour and a Salmon Steak with asparagus.

The  BBQ Menu remains big and bold with Prime Steak Burgers and Danish Medister Sausages leading the way.  There are lighter options in the Halloumi Kebabs with cherry tomato & red onion and fresh darn of Salmon and for real impact there's a Whole Strip Sirloin.

Packed full of tasty options, our Cold Buffet Menu combines familiar choices with our own exclusive dishes created by our talented chefs.  From sandwiches and sausage rolls to the more daring smorgasbord of Danish delights, we have something to suit all tastes and budgets.  From a variety of salads including potato salad with chives & red onion and Moroccan cous cous with raisins, onion, peppers & almonds to finger foods like creamed cheese & sun blushed tomato crostini, samosas with yoghurt & mint dip and salmon, rocket & parmesan bites.

Happy New Year!

At the begining of a new year it's customary to adopt an 'Out with the old and in with the new' attitude.  We're no different here at KRO Catering and so we're busy developing some new and exciting menus for 2012!

We'll be reworking each of our menus to offer some fresh ideas whilst ensuring we keep the much loved favourites.  The Full Catering Menu will be tweaked to include some new dishes that our chefs have been working hard to perfect.  We're keen to bring innovative seasonal choices to our BBQ Menu as well as the most up-to-date selection to our Cold Buffet Canape Menu.

Keep your eyes peeled for our new offereings; we're sure there'll be something to suit all tastes, palettes and budgets.  As always our menus and service are flexible and you need only ask if you have any special requests.  Where possible we'll endeavour to meet your needs.

Piccadilly Christmas Bar

Last year we brought you the Piccadilly Big Top Bar, this year we're bringing a touch of the Alps to Manchester city centre with our chalet inspired Piccadilly Christmas Bar.

Opening on Friday 25th November and running right through until Christmas Eve, the outdoor bar will make up part of this year's festive offering in Piccadilly Gardens. The family fun fair from last year also returns, transforming the area into a winter wonderland for the month of December.

The Piccadilly Christmas Bar will serve all sorts tasty treats from tempting mulled wine, available in a variety of flavours to traditional lagers. Robinsons latest brew, Elbow's Build A Rocket, Boys! - as launched by us at the  Manchester Food and Drink Festival in October - also takes pride of place alongside Rekorderlig ciders, including a very special warm winter spiced brew.

Hot Vimto will keep the kids happy as well as a wide selection of other soft drinks. Fresh and flavoured coffees are also available.

We will be serving delicious Cumberland sausages on fresh focaccia bread and a selection of sauces, ensuring hunger is kept at bay whilst the family enjoys the thrill of the fair.

With live music every Friday and Saturday evening, be sure to make a date to visit us this Christmas season, you'll be glad you did!

South West Manchester Cricket Club Beer Festival

KRO Catering will be at the first South West Manchester Cricket Club Beer Festival this September, serving BBQ food and real ales and ciders.

The festival opens at 3pm on Friday 23rd September and runs through to 10pm on Sunday 25th, and will hopefully be a sunshine-filled weekend of fun!

The Manchester Picnic 2011

The second annual Manchester Picnic was held on the weekend of 5-7 of August 2011, and saw the iconic green space of Piccadilly Gardens in the heart of the city transformed into a food lover's oasis, complete with benches and bunting.

KRO Catering were a particular hit selling delicious hand carved roast pork and stuffing with chunky chips, as well as a variety of healthy smoothies and milkshakes.

The Manchester Picnic was designed to bring more family-friendly activities to the centre of the city, and DJs and music performances kept the adults entertained whilst the closing event of the Teddy Bears' Picnic was a huge success with the kids.

The Manchester Museum and the Manchester Science Festival were also on hand to provide fun and educational games.

KRO Catering were delighted to be involved in the weekend which once again proved to be a highlight of Manchester's summer events calender.
